A nurse anesthetist is a registered nurse practitioner who has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.  They have the knowledge and the skills to qualify them to administer anesthetics as part of the anesthesia care team, working under the supervision of our anesthesiologists.  All our nurse anesthetists are certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
